A. Kasper, P.E., Managing Director
Craig
A. Kasper is Vice President of Hull & Associates, Inc. and a
Managing Director of Hemisphere Advisors. He received his bachelor
of science in engineering from Ohio Northern University, where he
graduated with honors. Mr. Kasper also is the creator and leader
of Hull's Urban Revitalization Group, which provides services to
both the public and private sectors.
As
one of the key authors of the state's first brownfield regulatory
program, Mr. Kasper has become a recognized leader in Ohio and the
Midwest for his creative redevelopment strategies and leadership
in this emerging field. He has directed many notable brownfield
redevelopment projects that have helped reshape and stimulate the
local economy, including the luxurious Miranova high rise along
the Scioto River in downtown Columbus, Ohio, and the $1.2 billion
expansion of the Chrysler-Jeep Assembly Plant in Toledo, Ohio.
Mr.
Kasper has authored and co-authored many articles that have appeared
in industry publications and legal journals on the topic of urban
revitalization and brownfield redevelopment. He has authored "The
Clean Ohio Fund - Critical Funding For Cleaning Up Underutilized
Properties," Properties Magazine, Inc., Sept. 20, 2001; "Developing
Brownfields, Not Greenfields," Planning Commissioners
Journal,
Fall 1998; Brownfields: Opportunities on the Horizon," Ohio
Chamber of Commerce, GreenLeaf Directory, 2002; and "Developing
Brownfield Sites: Comparing Two Approaches (Ohio and Michigan),"
Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Mr. Kasper has been invited to speak at
many state and national conferences and before Ohio Governor Bob
Taft's cabinet to share his ideas on improving the state's programs.
He also presented at the National Brownfield Conference; local and
State Bar Association meetings; Toledo, Ohio's Brownfield Summit;
Business and Industrial Environmental Symposium in Cincinnati, Ohio;
and many community planning workshops.
Mr.
Kasper is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio and New York,
a certified professional under Ohio's brownfield program, and a
member of several state and national professional associations.
He also serves as the chair of the Brownfield Policy Workgroup sponsored
by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and recently testified before the
Ohio Legislature in support of Issue 1, the $400 million Clean Ohio
Fund
