H. Hull, P.E., D.E.E., Principal
John
H. Hull, P.E., D.E.E., is a Principal in Hemisphere Advisors. Mr.
Hull is a 1975 graduate of the Ohio Northern University Civil Engineering
Department and a 1976 graduate of Stanford University, where he
received a master of science in civil engineering - construction
management. After working for Jones & Henry Engineers, Ltd.
for four years in Toledo, Ohio, doing waste, wastewater and solid
waste management projects, he became registered as a professional
engineer by the State of Ohio and left J&H to start a private
consulting practice in 1980. Today that practice, Hull & Associates,
Inc., employs more than 100 professionals in four offices in Ohio,
serving a variety of public and private clients. Mr. Hull is president
of Hull & Associates, Inc.
Mr.
Hull is a registered professional engineer in 13 states and is recognized
as a Diplomate of Environmental Engineering by the American Academy
of Environmental Engineers. Mr. Hull has obtained patents for several
environmental-related products and techniques. In addition to assisting
in the management of Hull & Associates, Inc., Mr. Hull serves
as a director on the boards of several other firms and continues
to provide technical assistance and oversight to engineering projects
ranging from solid and hazardous waste management, superfund remediation
projects, dams and water supply reservoirs, urban development projects,
surface water quality projects, and other activities regulated by
the Resource Conservation Recovery Act, Comprehensive Environmental
Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, Clean Water Act, Clean
Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and others. Mr. Hull has authored
or co-authored numerous publications, addressing a wide variety
of environment-related issues, and has presented technical papers
on these subjects at national venues as well as abroad.
In
addition, Mr. Hull serves on several non-profit boards, including
the University of Findlay Advisory Board for the Center of Environmental
Programs. He is an appointed member (and board vice chairman) of
the Ohio Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Release Compensation
Board, which administers a mandated statewide insurance fund for
UST owners, and, most recently, has been named to a blue-ribbon
panel chaired by the Ohio Lake Erie Commission to examine issues
and opportunities for balanced and strategic growth in the Lake
Erie basin.
